You need land to create crops. That is a limited resource unless someone figures out how to turn deserts, mountains and ice packs into productive farming land.
The US alone kills 8 Billion animals per year to feed itself. That's 27 million animals each day. And we're only 5% of the world's population so multiply by 15 to 20 for the whole planet.
At 20 Billion people the annual animal kill rate will have to go to 1 Billion animals killed each day. Work out the logistics on that resource demand.
What's gonna happen with oil consumption skyrocketing and the base resource diminishing? There's only so much oil in the ground and the demand keeps rising.
Then you need fresh water for not only the people increases but all the support increases, again such as farming, animals, industrial uses, etc.
Christ almighty the Muslims just issued an edict for Islamic followers to no longer call them "Danish" Pastries and instead pastries are to be called Roses of the Prophet Mohammed. WTF. All because of a cartoon?? Imagine if something really serious arises out of all the faith based conflicts in the world.
Sorry, but I see too many people here already, and just chaos and hostilities in the decades ahead as we have more people and less resources.
