Something should be mentioned about the filter. As Google says:
you may prefer to turn filtering off in order to get the full set of search results
In other words, filter
on is the default. Now, I don't know if you have ever attempted to turn the filter off, but it isn't as easy as it sounds, and you can be sure that your average surfer is not going to go through the trouble to figure it out.
