Footage is great, it handles well and holds upto SONY's promis on the product. Its natural integration with Vegas is sweet as well. Its 1080i format disturbs me. I prefer Progressive even at 720P over 1080i. But I think the difference is just a matter of preference for the frame "look".

i definitely agree with you on that. 720p footage looks hella good. 1080i has this harsh video look to it (cinematone settings help a little bit, but it's still interlaced video).
I have both the JVC HD100U and a Sony Z1U. I shoot JVC/720p for music videos and short movies. Then i use Z1U to experiment for web stuff because it's more rugged and Auto Focus is your best friend when shooting gonzo style porn
about FX1, i think brookeskye.com is shooting with it (judging by the audio quality). audio is just horrible with the FX1, that's why Z1U might be a better choice for long term... uno
