I'm a non-smoker but I have coincidentally dated smokers my entire life. I don't treat smokers like pariahs, they're just people who enjoy a habit. Lord knows I have my own habits.
My only rule is that there is no smoking in the house because I do not want my house to smell like stale tobacco and I don't think I should be forced to inhale secondhand smoke and put my health at risk just to accomodate my sweetheart's habit. It's an amicable compromise.
Life is too short to be so anal about everything!
