I did that for a dateline tv thing a while back...there was a rapist on there with the aol nick PunkRawkJock, so I registered PunkRockJock and fired it up, within 10 minutes my computer was crashed, i could not keep up with the flood of incoming messages.....I eventyually was able to and put up an auto message that said "I am not the rapist, you have the wrong nick, his is PunkRawkJock...but if you have some time, please go to www.tabithastoybox.com"....I got no traffic really from it, but it was funny
