It's sad that people have to patrol their borders in order to feel safe... But when you've made yourself a target (as the U.S. has) then I guess it's the only option when it comes to defending against the Islamic "freedom fighters".

I think it's a false sense of security though, if a terrorist wanted to get into the U.S. they would easily be able too, a few power hungry hicks with rifles aren't going to stop them.

Not to mention the majority of terrorist attacks on the U.S. have been caused by U.S. citizens, not foreigners. I don't think building a "great wall" is going to help the situation, it will just further isolate the country.
