it's pretty simple. Straight people have fucked marrige up plenty on thier own. Over 50% of marriges end in divorce. If you factor out those that get married past the age of 55 (there are more and more of them these days) that number jumps to around 60%.
I see people get married and divorced within a year or two all the time. So how can anyone say that gay people getting married would cause harm to the "institution" of marriage? It won't.
In the end if a gay couple gets married it doesn't make a straight couple married less valid. It's not going to cause straight couple to suddenly break up. It has no effect what's so ever.
This is the melting pot of the world. We supposedly say that all people are created equal. So who is it that gets to decide that just because someone is gay they are not worthy of the same things that a straight person is?
