Those idiots were rioting. They got a kicking for their stupidity. It's called natural selection. Also, it's a lesson in cause and effect.
Those idiots will go home and say "Mummy, why did you never tell me that if I throw stones at soldiers they will beat me up?". Mummy will say "You little idiot. Did you really think that you could throw stones at soldiers for free?"
