Neither. The smart ones are those who accumulate quite a pile of money while barely ever working. I know a bunch of 'em. Spending "just enough time" is only going to last you "so long". Not being prepared isn't very smart. Of course I also know plenty of guys who love to work and spend every minute doing it, regardless of whether or not they "need to".
You see... calling someone smart just because they "make money" is as stupid as calling someone smart just because they "do what they want". Smart is totally objective, obviously my view of being smart is totally opposite of yours so there are going to be different answers.
Oh, and then there's the guys who spend all their time working, never make a penny, never enjoy life, and die early. We would probably both agree thats pretty stupid, haha. I know them too.
