So this turned into a philosophical discussion.

You cannot possess knowledge, if you don't believe in it.

However, you can have a belief, but it doesn't mean its knowledge. You can have true or false beliefs. but knowledge is always true!!!

If I had knowledge, that God exists, I must also believe that God exists. Otherwise I wouldn't know it, right? (Knowledge requires other things in addition to belief, of course. For example, the belief must be true)
But I can believe in God without possing such KNOWLEDGE.

So atheist basically believes that there is no God, but assumes that it is possible to know whether it is true or false.

Agnostic doesn't believe in either existence or non-existence, because he thinks we cannot have knowledge about it. Agnostic can have an open mind, though, he may think that if we get more information, we can then get knowledge about this issue.
