Sad thing is, it doesn't really upset me to watch this. If the setting had been on an American street, I'd be sick right now.
I almost view these sub-human beasts as just that.... non-human. Their way of life and ours is just so different. When Columbus discovered America in 1492, his society even way back then was more developed than Africans are today.
It's hard to put a year on just when the Africans stopped developing. They may very well be 800 or even 1,000 years behind the rest of the world.
