This is WAY off subject but it's amazing what people will do at funerals. My son had an honor guard service. It is amazing. I had never been to one and I certainly wouldn't have chosen that time to see one but they are just incredible.
HOWEVER, there was a couple who literally stood on a hill FACING me and watched the entire service. They were very casual, leaning up against a tree, hands in pockets, etc. Maybe I was a wee bit over sensitive that day, but to stand there and stare at a service when you're not involved in full view of the grieving family just seems the epitome of tackiness.
I know you can't do it in big cities, but still in my little town you pull over on the side of the road when a funeral procession goes through as a sign of respect.
