It seems to me this is a huge part of the problem.

Donnie, would a typical Muslim agree that a theocracy is inherently worse than a democratic republic in terms of freedoms and progress? History shows us that the Arab world was on par with the West and China several hundred years ago, but ever since Islam became the end all be all, progress stopped, and the culture regressed. It would seem like we're at a point where even if the economic injustices against the Arab world were rectified, there would still be a problem of co-existing with the West because religious fundamentalism has a strong hold. It seems to me this fundamentalism should be eradicated. It's impossible to live in a scientific, practical world if you're using a literal interpretations from a religious book as your guide.
