I would say it depends what you want to do with your site(s).
If you just want to host a blog, they're fine.
Pretty nice bandwidth, too.
The more tricky part is when you want to run scripts with dreamhost: they use something called server minutes, and you are only entitled to use 60 of 'em (a day? don't actually know...).
