The people I know with them, myself included, use them primarily as a business tool. They do one thing well, corporate based e-mail. As a phone they suck ass unless you get the bluetooth headset (the internal speaker can barely be heard in a clean room at NASA, with tha volume all the way up).

The other things they do "pretty well" include a PDA that is quick and accurate, web browsing (high-speed), and they can do about 90% of the Windows mobile based hand-helds.

If you want a phone or a toy with an mp3 player or video tools, don't bother with the BB. If you want to stay connected to your buiness e-mail accounts in real-time and some other things like ICQ/AIM/MSN messenger(s), look at the BlackBerry.
