No. No it isn't. First, very few people here (if any) are saying that MySpace was in the wrong for being upset about what budz did. What everyone here is bothered by is the fact that the hosting company, no questions asked, removed the files from his account when MySpace told them to do so.
In your example, it wouldn't be unreasonable for GFY to be upset, just as it wasn't unreasonable for MySpace to be upset. What would be unreasonable is if GFY were to go straight to the company's host and have the files removed.
However, in your example, GFY would simply change out your sig, much like MySpace should simply have removed the hotlinked content from their site.
