According to
this article, Internet companies like Verizon, Comcast, and Bell South are drawing up plans to, among other things, charge for Internet usage, set up tiers for bandwidth usage, with the best being reserved for large companies, set up tiers for allowed Internet usage, limiting the number of e-mails, videos downloaded, etc., and limiting or eliminating "undesired" traffic by eliminating it from the best bandwidth paths - and somehow I am willing to bet that "adult" traffic is very much in that category. To make it even worse, they are considering data mining on a level to rival the NSA! This is all being lobbied before Congress right now; I hope that there will be enough outrage among net users to stop this from happening.
