I don't think your average muhammed, mustaffa and ali own much off anything. I would guess that most is owned by a very tiny tiny elite - much like in Africa. The countries don't own anything. The day the Arab countries overthrow their dictators they will find empty bankaccounts.
There is only one reason the western world will even listen to Arab opinion. And that's oil. They don't respect you, they don't like you, they just want to keep the corrupt puppets in power and drain the oil till it's gone or till we find alternatives. Then it's Afghanistan time for all of you. Years of civil war and internal turmoil noone gives a shit about.
Or at least that's just my opinion - and dream.
