Yeah man, no doubt...I've avoided political threads for a while because they are pretty pointless. I really can?t understand how somebody can be right-wing and pro-porn at the same time.
I?ve heard Baddog?s argument before and it holds no merit.
I think a lot of people are ?straight ticket? voters ? they vote republican just because that?s what their dad did, and that?s what his dad did. When I was growing up I was pro-Republican as hell. I?ve even voted republican in the past (when I could vote ? ok, I said it ? eat a dick now!). My biggest hero in the world was my cousin -- he was Alan Alda-loving, fuck Jimmy Carter, and fuck the poor. I idoled him.
The problem is the Republican Party has transmogrified itself into something different than what is was back in the day. Republicans used to be less government, lower expenditures, and had a more fend-for-yourself mentality. These days, the Republicans are a right-wing, bible-toting, nose of the religious right?s ass, high spending, invasive of your privacy whack-jobs that loves guns and are twice as corrupt as their democratic counterparts that they once mocked that somehow thinks they are going to balance the budget while giving the ULTRA-RICH tax breaks.
Now, I say ULTRA-RICH because I?m rich. For all of the talk I hear about tax cuts I?ve heard?they are yet to apply to me:
