1. you need to have a mail service setup for your domain
2. ask your hosting company about this. was it setup on their centralized mail server? or was installed on your box? shared box?
3. if it was on their centralized mail server
( just ask them to point [email protected] > [email protected])
4. if it was setup on your box, or shared box. And fully managed by them, then ask them to do the redirect request.
5. once done, you should have the ip of mail.domain.com.
go to your dns registrar control panel and change the MX records ( simply by pointing mail.domain.com = to the IP that was given by your host.
6. wait for 24 hours for a fully functional mail system.

* its better to have your mail hosted by your hosting company dedicated mail server.
