I remember seeing this one show when I was living there where the 2 contestants would bet their prized posession on winning the different challenges. One Guy, One Girl. The girl bet some designer leather jacket that was worth the GDP of some 3rd world country and the guy bet his car which was a Nissan Skyline (very fast car).
