My old ones are old - they sometimes bark at things that don't exist, but usually they sleep through everything
The "puppy" (1.5 years old) has much better ears and barks at things on TV - doorbells, knocking, dogs barking, etc. And she barks at her reflection in the windows
But IMO, they aren't "yappy" dogs, which is one of the reasons I like them
