He did comply, but his friend did not during a highly charged situation when guns were drawn.
This guy is no victim. He made a bad choice hanging out with a bad guy and he's suffering the consequences. And who knows what went on before that, he may have actually been cheering his buddy the driver on until they got caught, we will never know.
