uhm. obviously you don't know to to much about jap tuner cars.
the short answer is yes. people would definitely still care. they cared before that crappy movie. the only thing that movie did was make some little kids with civics and cavaliers want one.
the skyline is an amazing piece of machine.
-edit- was there even a skyline in the first movie? i don't think there was.
