Well, although I understand that it certainly would be a fantastic service to the surfer to add the additional formats. I also see these additional formats as a new revenue stream. For example what if Hustler had given all their current magazine subscribers free web access to their pay site in the late nineties? New format = New opportunity.
I just noticed that Yanks.com just went over 50% high bandwidth users a month or so ago, so I feel as though offering those people the content in the additional formats you mentioned as well as a full screen high rez video format is a great opportunity for an all vid site. I believe those +50% are the types that are willing to spend $40 a month on a premium adult video service.
Concerning the cell/mobile format, the carrierhahaha8217;s fees, marketing fees as well as the technology needed for delivery would hold me back from giving that away to current members. I think any pay site should be improved upon and grown with no additional cost to the surfer, but I also believe major changes in delivery should be capitalized on. Great conversation.
