I don't mind receiving money as a gift, the only time I hate it is when it's from family. If it's a friend or a bf they can give me whatever they want, but I HATE receiving money from family, it makes me feel like a kid again, and like they think I'm poor and can't take care of myself. I always feel like I have to go out of my way to show my family that I'm doing well for myself. I don't take/accept money as gifts from family members, I always return it. I find it rather insulting.
