Cruise apparently never or rarely had sex with his girlfriends or wife; all kids are adopted. He also was never seen kissing any lady in public - until Katie Holmes.

Back in the big studio days, big Hollywood gay stars like Rock Hudson were "married" to big Hollywood sweetie-pie actresses like Doris Day. Nowadays, the agents and PR people have taken over that job.
