I'd say approach it with the same business sense as you would if you were opening up a bank. Prepare for the slow times, and always have a plan B. Keep your ear to the ground and stay aware of new opportunities and developing technology. Keep your cool and behave professionally, even under fire-you never know who is watching you. Every now and then, reach a hand out to a noob with great promise-if nothing else it's good karma, but at best, you could help a future player and as we all know, networking is priceless.

Don't start a biz thread on this board and expect a serious response, or you will 99% of the time be disappointed. Try the Q & A section, or another more biz oriented board.
