The 'Video Vault' program is a much better program for converting
I think if you offer it as an extra on the site you will just be saving the surfer a step or two. If they own one of these items chances are they know how to do the basic stuff (and really, converting is basic stuff). I have a 1 gig mini-sd card on my windows smart phone loaded with 1 movie a bunch of mucic vidoes and other movies. I also have a 2 gig stick on my PSP loaded with the same things (not same files, but movies, videos, etc).
