I know of these people and they are seemingly very nice and are respected in the amateur community. They run their own amateur site, so the pic was probably of his wife/girlfriend. From experience, it's usually very hard to get people to remove images, so the 'heavy handed' letter is most likely due to that. He's probably not used to dealing with honest people. Don't take it personally ; )
