Three years ago someone slammed into me skidding down an exit ramp on a wet day.

I called police non-emergency they asked about the incident and said it's not worth filing a claim, just exchage information and that is all that's needed. They said that's all the cop would do.

So we exchanged information.

I called my insurance company, they said that I need to call her insurance company. I did, she was no longer insured.

I went to the address, it was a mailbox on a rural road.

Lesson, get a police report.
