Google encourages the use of rss. They use it themselves much the way Autoblogger Pro does on their news site.
My first test site of the abp idea (started over a year ago) is still going strong. A good bit of the traffic comes from bookmarkers so even if google did ban it (doubtful) it would still maintain a decent level of traffic.

C'mon Chio, people are lazy, they dont want to baby their sites constantly, quantity always out does quality (ie Windows OS as an example ). So to make decent money at this blog thing you need many blogs, and $30 per site for say 100 blogs, that's $3000 to drop on software still in development.

I am not going to say what I make with my small network (20 or so sites) but it's much better than you seem to think it could be. As I said there are many ways to monetize an ABP site.
As for babying... Cron works. Set it and forget it

We just may.
Let me say this, I am all for saving money, but without custom coding, you cannot get a complete system like Autoblogger Pro using free plugins. They need to be modified. That's why Autoblogger Pro exists. I couldn't get the plugins to work together.
