I remember a few years back there was some mumblings about spacing of the cells in the hypothalmus being an indicator of sexual interest (i.e. the typical heterosexual male had close spacing, while the typical heterosexual women's spacing was a bit further apart... or the opposite - I really forget which), and some doctor somewhere was all about showing that the typical homosexual male's spacing was the opposite of the typical heterosexual male's spacing...

I should really google that to see what became of it.
