If you can handle the rhyming slang of the early stuff go for it!.. the Tomorrow series is a better read even though it's "young adult".
finished the tomorrow series the other night.. into "the first casualty" by Ben Elton atm.. somewhere in the middle of the 20 odd Norton books and
"weapons of choice" & "designated targets" by John Birmingham are up next.. The titles sound really Clancyish i know.. but this is the guy who wrote "he died with a falafel in his hand" & "dope" so im expecting them to be pretty decent.. some near future military time experiment goes wrong and sends a bunch of hi tech military shit and helicopters back to WW2 and they blow the shit out of the Germans but open themselves up for massive problems with timespace etc.
