My husband has no idea how much money I make.
But I do not keep it from him or would ever lie about it. He works very hard running his own business, and really is way to busy to inquire about mine. It may seem odd to some, but he and I are both of the mindset not to question or bother with each others businesses, except in emergencies. I know nothing of his business field (not adult), and he nothing of mine. For goodness sake, he claims he never has even called a phone sex line.
We have a common account that we both contribute to, but I have never asked him about his business account. The bills are paid, he is working his ass off, and if he wants to keep extra in his and not put it into the common savings or checking so be it.
And bless his heart, he never asks me what I am holding back either.
The most important thing is when we can finally cuddle on the couch together, and be together. We are both incredibly financially aggressive, and yes it serves us well, but we would be lost without each other.
