yup...thats how I do it!
Sooo much better than trying to figure out some shitty tabs that doesnt work!... With Guitarpro, you just play it, and you can easily see if the tabs are accurate or not!...
I even tabbed a couple of songs that I am about to submit to mysongbook...(from the new Strokes album)...
