yes, it is fucking hot. That "its a dry heat" is bullshit. You cook turkey in dry heat--dry heat is still fucking hot. You really can burn your hands on the steering wheel too.
that being said, there are no hurricanes, tornados, earthquakes or blizzards. If you live in a cold state you know that in the worst months it is cold 24/7. Phoenix in the summer is hot from noon to 9 pm--but every night the heat does break. If you can stay inside for most of the afternoon, the nights and mornings are nice. And, the heat is not really bad until August but it sticks around until October.
There are good and bad things about every place. It can get fucking hot here--but compared to the shit you have to deal with in other places, Phoenix is not so bad.

Phoenix isn't bad at all. at least last summer wasn't bad.
