Even with candles in jars, never ever leave them alone. Especially those little dollar store candles. The wick can burn too close to the glass and shatter the glass, leaving the wax and fire to run over everything. The trendy gel candles can have air pockets which caused minor explosions/cracking of the containers. And Glade scented candles can kill any birds in your home, since the scented oils line little birdy lungs and stop oxygen from getting processed properly.
