I'm seldom concerned about price, I'm more concerned about quality.
For example, you could be buying a new CD-Rom drive, You could buy a cheap CD-Rom drive from a brand you're not familiar or you could buy one from for example, LG for 10 bucks more.
What do I personally know about the cheap brand I'm not familiar with? Nothing.
What do I know about LG? I've used their equipment in the past and never had any problems, I know they make a lot of money every year.
They could both come with two year warranties, so why not just pay $10 less?
Because the LG is less likely to fuck up while it's under warranty and even if it does, LG are a big company and are far more likely to replace my broken CD-Rom drive with a brand spanking new one.
It's about trust, and saving time.
I'd rather pay more money for something I know is good, than something that I don't know is not.
