I'm no expert, but I play a doctor on the Bold and the Fugly. So here's my take:

Yes, 350 thumbs is too much. It's too much for a page load, and it's too much for a surfer. 350 thumbs are so many, a surfer successfully loading the page will forget what the fuck he / she is doing -- trying to find porn and throw that credit card down.

Limit the thumbs; target a good dozen or so of them, with some quality text and get that credit card to be entered.

That's my $0.02, as a doctor of love on the soap I mentioned above.
