Ah... in general, tho there are exceptions, the beggars are the money worshippers without the money - or any relationships to get the money to be able to worship more
They usually start off with - "I have this shit hot idea and need $1m to get the ball rolling..."
Maybe if they had relationships where they could safely say and start the conversation with what the "shit hot" idea was about, why it was "shit hot", what benefits it had, what experience they had blah - they may get more genuine interest ... and funding follows. Anything that is seriously "shit hot" is fundable so makes ya wonder why they got a problem.
