If you're going to be traveling a lot, Sony has this itty bitty one that is very lightweight.

I am rough on laptops, so the slightly heavier Fujitsu has worked out very well for me....it's a 15 inch and weighs about 6 pounds. Good for travel and home, which is what I needed.
the sony i'm working on now is great ..

Pentium M 725 (1.6 GHz), 512MB DDR SDRAM, ATI Mobility Radeon 9200 graphics, 13.3-inch WXGA, (1,280-by-800) display, 60GB hard drive (4,200-rpm), DVD-ROM/CD-RW drive, Centrino G 2200 wireless, system weight 4.2 pounds, travel weight 4.9 pounds, 53.3-Wh lithium-ion battery, two USB 2.0 ports, one FireWire port, Windows XP Home.

very small and light ... i got use to the screen size right away .
