Theres some pretty advanced scammers out there. I know a guy from a software company that posted on investment boards looking for investors for something. They got an offer for 1 mill USD from some company in the UK. The scammers use UK numbers to make it all look legit.
The scammers even sent a legal contract over that looked like it was made by an attorney. Than they wanted a $25,000 up front fee for turning the 1 mill in bonded stocks into cash. Thats when they found out it was all a scam. They had to pay a $1,000 lawyer fee too..
Thats the cost of doing business.
