And yes, it "can" fuck a unix machine up, about as good as a chance as a windows machine being fucked up from an improper shut down. But, normally it doesn't do anything.

I can't prove what I say, just like you can't. But I would bet my BW/servers that PhatServers DID NOT shut your machines down due to non-payment.
