Glendale?s Speed Reduction Campaign Hits the Big Screen
GLENDALE, Ariz. ? The Glendale Speed Reduction Campaign has made its debut on local movie screens. As part of an effort to get Glendale residents to slow down on city streets, Glendale has started advertising their safety message at Harkins Arrowhead 18, AMC Arrowhead 14 and AMC Deer Valley 30.
The high visibility of movie theater advertising will help target the message to young adults, ages 15 to 24, which is one of the goals of the speed reduction campaign.
The ads feature the Glendale motor officers encouraging residents to reduce their speed while driving within the city?s limits. The speed limit on arterial streets in Glendale is 40 mph.
Moviegoers will see the slides three times before the start of each movie on all screens. The ads will run for 13 weeks in the Harkins theater and 26 weeks in the AMC theaters.
