Fris it's going to be somewhat of a hybrid TGP/Babelog style site but it will have more than just that.. So I dunno what to call it..
So it will end up with quite a bit of traffic across the site so I can't have a script that will be a hog.

But I never used it for heavy traffic sites, just mainly info sites.
I agree with the comment of safety, about being open source ( this is why for shopping carts I do not use OS commerce, but X-Cart ).
On the other hand, I often looked at paid scripts, and most included a heavy proportion of open source input ...
Eventually, if the mySql is too heavy, you could always move the database to a dedicated server just for that ( Dual or other ).
