COMMANDO INTERVENTION is the way to go.

You get all his friends and all his family members and you surround him with people. Tell him that killing himself one gram at a time is not the way to do it. Tell him that all the people in the room care about him and that the group is not going to let him out of their site until this deal is over. Stay with him around the clock.

COP INTERVENTION: Call 911 and tell them that he has been depressed and that he told you that he has said that he is going to kill himself. They will roll in and with the coke they fine he will get enough time in county to sober up. (This is a shitty-as-hell last resort thing, but hey there are no rules in this game).
