I have a decade of retail and customer service long before I started doing affiliate support. Plus been typing on computers since BBS days, so it's not too much of a chore for me to hang out and talk with an affiliate for half of the day. Just so long as I'm not neglecting others.
Basically, if it's what you do, then it's what you do. If you're main job is something else and you try to jump on support, then you might have troubles I guess. And yeah, patience is always a good thing to have a bunch of.
