Wide angle for portrait shots? if he's shooting content, he shouldnt' be using a wide angle lens, as the distortion can be seen in the body... bends, curves where they shouldn't be.

Try sticking to prime lenses, or anything over 24mm for shoots.

Unless you really need a wide angle for cramped situations, nothing will beat a 50mm prime.
