I think deep down inside (other than the really huge guys like Shemp, The Hun, Zilla, World Sex, Ect) know that tgp's cannot continue at the rate it is going. It's the battle for who can have more submitters that submit 50 Series Pic galleries and 10 MB movies. As great as that sounds to the general Tgp that wants to have 1million bookmarks and 10million page views, it realisticly doesnt pay off for the people buying the spots, and putting out the world class free galleries in order to try to obtain a sale. Someone will wake up, perhaps not at the huge level that I have seen posted on the baords here for the last month (thumbs linked to sponsors, consoles on galleries, galleries with only thumbs and no big pics, galleries with 10 thumbs only), but I think their will be a change.
I for instance have taken a different route, i have spoken to Germes (Tgp Brownie) to develope a script that can check galleries that have thumbs that lead to html pages. Maybe not a great idea for everyone, but it's what I want to do on my tgp's (which I have plenty large and small), that will be my change, not for everyone, but Ill roll with it, will I lose traffic, maybe, maybe not, no one sasy I have to let complete shit galleries go through.
I respect all of the big dogs, they set the pavment, you cant and shouldnt expect them to change. Why the hell should they.
However I think some of the smaller sites that wont control the huge portion of the market should grow some nuts and give something new a try, that way every newbie that jumps online considers following the smaller tgp's design paths, it's like poison ivy, it will spread.
